Safety Manager

Pay: $40 - $50/hr (Salary option after review period)

Safety Manager Position:

• Full time Safety Manager working on site for the entire duration of the project.
• OSHA 30 with either CHST, CSP, ASP, Degree in Safety & Health from a recognized university OR 10 years experience with sole responsibility as a full time safety manager.
• Other requirements: ROCIP Experience, Excavation Trench Safety Competent Person, Confined Space Training.
• The job starts and stops with the safety manager. Must be on site at all times during production.
• Computer skills:
  Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Blue Beam.

• Attention to detail. Must be able to determine if a jobsite activity/situation is safe or not.
• Ability to eliminate possible unsafe situations before they arise.
• Knowledge of trench safety equipment. Trench boxes, shoring, man guards, etc.
• Be reliable. The project depends on the safety managers ability to keep things moving.
• Excellent attention to detail, good time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and personality. Be pleasant, respectful and a team player.
• Will experience interruptions; need the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Be able to take direction, work independently, take charge – own your department.
• Maintain absolute confidentiality of information received.

• Min. 10 years of Safety Manager Experience
• City of Austin work
• Experience with projects that included Utility, Asphalt, Concrete and Dirt Work
• Skilled and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Blue Beam and Outlook Email.
• 10-hour shift - Monday to Friday: 7:00AM to 5:00PM (Saturday option if rain out days occur during the week. This is case by case)
