VDC/Quality Manager

Rogers-O'Brien Construction is seeking a VDC/Quality Manager to join our dynamic VDC team. This role involves overseeing management, communication, and the creation of high-quality BIM content and processes. As a VDC/Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating meetings, driving innovation, and fostering effective communication within the team. Skills &

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in architectural, engineering, construction, or computer science
  • 2-4 years of industry experience
  • Enthusiastic, creative, inclusive, and collaborative mindset
  • General knowledge and competency in computer hardware and software
  • Proficiency in key software applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
  • Background or interest in leveraging 3D information
  • Familiarity with tools including Bluebeam/PDFs, Procore, BIM 360, and MS Suite

Responsibilities:

  • Execute high-quality BIM content for the VDC Department, project teams, and other support departments to ensure seamless integration and project success
  • Manage project 3D spatial coordination, including BIM schedules, scope, and supporting files/models to facilitate efficient project execution
  • Provide support for VDC staff on all BIM-enabled projects, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed for success
  • Adhere to implemented processes while assisting in improving VDC workflows to enhance operational efficiency and innovation
  • Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings to align on goals and objectives, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends in VDC techniques and procedures to ensure Rogers-O'Brien remains at the forefront of the industry
  • Continually improve skills in management, communication, and creativity, driving personal and team growth
  • Train Assistant VDC Specialists and project team members on tools and processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development
