Job Summary
* Engineering Technician
-4 role at Flex involves performing hands-on debugging, validation, and system-level failure analysis of next-generation server and rack systems within a high-mix, high-ambiguity manufacturing environment.
* This position requires advanced technical skills and the ability to provide guidance and training to other technical personnel
* The technician will collaborate with engineering teams, contribute to documentation, and monitor equipment productivity while adhering to safety guidelines
* Troubleshoots and repairs complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level
* Installing and configuring infrastructure including servers, racks, switches and other hardware including liquid cooling, power
* Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel
* Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates
* Presents training, when necessary, to the new build and service assembler teams
* Contributes to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications and other device history documents
* Helps monitor productivity of our equipment by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates
* Assists with the installation, debug and validation of Test equipment
* Follows all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor
* Develops and maintains Debug Guide to troubleshoot PCBA
* Provides training and PCBA debugging guidance to other debug technicians
* ** SPECIALIZED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assist with the development and delivery of customer presentations and interface with customers.
* Partner with engineers on outside third-party developments
* Organize documentation (specifications, schematics, and procedures).
* Perform tests per customer specifications and requirements.
* Education / Experience
* Typically requires an Associates degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience.  Typically requires 10 years of related experience.
