The Baker Hughes Downstream Chemicals Team leverages our expertise to provide best-in-class technology and support to optimize process, finished fuels, and water treatment applications within the refineries where we operate.

As a Refinery Account Representative, you will provide a vital service by implementing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and evaluating chemical treatment programs. You will be a crucial team member supporting a large key customer account, responsible for ensuring they have the services and products required to operate safely and efficiently.

• Safely managing day-to-day operations of refinery process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers
• Developing trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration
• Applying account management fundamentals to understand customer needs, requirements, and potential sales opportunities while supporting the account P & L
• Identifying and coordinating numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers
• Routine monitoring and reporting of performance of existing treatment programs
• Collaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers
• Collecting and interpreting data for troubleshooting, service reports, meetings, reviews, and presentations delivered to customers
• Providing field support, laboratory analysis, and technical guidance for our customers on issues, projects, turn‑arounds, shut‑downs, and daily operations
• Managing chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer location

• Associate's degree or higher in a technical field preferred, but not required, or demonstrated relevant field experience
• Experience in refining, petrochemical, or industrial settings supporting chemical treatment programs
• Strong understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales process
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation
• A comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions
• Ability to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations, in a clear and concise manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle)
• Residing within a commutable distance to Sunray, TX (1 hour or less)
