Systems Engineer, Software Engineer
Overview
In Arm's Solutions Engineering group, our primary focus extends beyond advanced System-on-Chip (SoC) development. As Physical Design (PNR) Engineers, we shape the future of chip implementation methodologies by optimizing physical designs through advanced placement and routing techniques, aiming for optimal power efficiency, performance, and area utilization. We refine PNR methodologies, influence Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, and build knowledge bases essential for custom SoC and CPU designs.
We collaborate across Arm's organizational divisions to drive innovative physical implementation strategies and deliver value to Arm and our partners.
- Apply 5-12 years of experience in back-end (physical design) with hands-on work in PDN (Power Distribution Network), IR-drop (Reh-hawk sign-off), and RDL/bump planning.
- Work on the latest designs in server, compute, or mobile SoCs, maintaining hands-on involvement in these topics over time.
- Hands-on experience with PNR tools such as Innovus and Fusion Compiler.
- Experience with Sign-off tools such as Red-Hawk and Calibre.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as TCL and Perl;
Python is optional.
- Good knowledge in PNR and STA (Static Timing Analysis) is an added advantage.
You will be part of a team owning synthesis to GDS closure of a critical subsystem in a high-end compute SoC. You will be involved in planning the PG grid, IR drop assessment/closure, bump-planning, and RDL closure for the subsystem.
