Commissioning is a quality assurance process that is invaluable to building and infrastructure owners ensuring that systems and components are installed and operate as intended. This role will give you a chance to experience work both in the office and in the field with hands‑on testing of a range of systems improving building performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and occupant comfort.
YourRole
- Develop and maintain pre‑functional and functional checklists.
- Conduct field functional testing and perform on‑site observations.
- Lead commissioning meetings and manage the overall commissioning process.
- Document test results, track issues in the resolution log, and prepare comprehensive commissioning reports.
- Support project management tasks as needed.
- Perform other related duties to ensure successful project delivery.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering or a related field, or related industry experience.
- EIT license, Commissioning, Energy Management, or TAB certifications – a plus.
- 2–5 years of related industry experience desired.
- Technical knowledge of MEP system design and operation, controls, and instrumentation background.
- Proficiency in client‑facing/client relationship/client management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to climb ladders/stairs and lift/carry loads above 20 lb. Able to be on a job site for extended periods (8–10 hours).
- Position may require travel as needed.
- Vehicle transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
- Experience with commissioning software or ongoing commissioning tools – a plus.
- Experience with mechanical and/or controls – a plus.
- Mission‑critical, Life Science experience – a plus.
- Electrical experience – a plus.

Salary Range
: $75,000 – $100,000
