* Time management, organization, and prioritization for timely completion of project tasks.
* Work with other staff to achieve project goals and consistency of project documentation.
* Specification of detailed technical assembly procedure documentation for mechanical and electrical components.
* Assist designers and engineers with form-fit-function analysis. Knowledge of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
* Detailed modeling of mechanical and electrical components and assemblies. Creation and maintenance of library parts for use in assemblies and deliverable documentation.
* Drafting of project documentation, drawing packages, and engineer design documentation.
* Other related functions as assigned.##
Required Qualifications
* HS/GED
* Three years of relevant experience.
* Demonstrated knowledge in drafting and development of mechanical and electrical components using Solidworks computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
* Demonstrated capability using and applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to produce clear, accurate, and easily interpretable documentation, and to quickly and correctly implement corrections to existing documents.
* Critical thinking skills to produce clear and unambiguous documentation that conforms to ASME Y14.5 standards.
* Ability to work several overlapping projects with various engineering teams.
* Ability to work within an environment of rapidly changing priorities. Able to work under pressure, accept constructive criticism, and rapidly implement revisions with and without supervision.
* Work with other staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Regular and punctual attendance.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor, and work independently and as a team member.##
Preferred Qualifications
* Associate’s degree in Engineering and Computer Aided Design – Mechanical Specialization with 1 year related experience.
* Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
* Experience in mechanical design, specification, fabrication and testing of mechanical assemblies, cable harness assemblies, and electronic printed circuit card assemblies.
* Knowledge of manual milling, CNC milling and programming, general power tools, and the ability to inspect parts with calipers and micrometers.
* Experience writing technical instructions.
* Experience interfacing with vendors and machine shops to procure items.
