Are you ready to move beyond task-based work and take ownership of your professional future? This is your opportunity to lead, innovate, and grow with a nationally ranked firm that operates with the agility and ambition of a high‑growth startup. At Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), we are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) to lead and expand our survey practice in Austin, Texas.

Why

This Role Stands Out:
Ownership & Impact

This is more than a management position—it’s a leadership opportunity. As a leader in our Austin survey operations, you’ll have the autonomy to shape the future of the practice, challenge conventional approaches, and build something exceptional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and scale the Austin survey team. Recruit, train, and mentor field crews while setting a high‑performance standard.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle—from fieldwork and technical approvals to budgeting and invoicing.
  • Lead complex, multi‑disciplinary surveys (ALTA/NSPS, boundary, control) and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and quality standards.
  • Serve as the final reviewer for all deliverables, maintaining rigorous quality control and consistency.
  • Texas RLS certification required, or LSIT with the ability to obtain licensure promptly.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional land surveying experience.
  • Expertise with GPS, robotic total stations, and modern survey software. Familiarity with Trimble Access/TBC or AutoCAD is a strong advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license required for site visits and field operations.
Ownership That Pays Off
  • Equity Opportunity:
Earn company stock and become a true stakeholder in the firm’s success. Many team members have grown their ownership into significant long‑term value.
  • Profit Sharing:
At CEC, we distribute 55% of our profits to employees annually through performance bonuses and profit‑sharing programs.
  • Retirement Benefits:
Our 401(k) plan includes a generous match and additional profit‑sharing contributions to help you build lasting financial security.
