Senior Staff/Graduate Geotechnical Engineer (Austin, TX) [SGE-AUS]

Job Description:

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company is hiring a Senior Staff/Graduate Geotechnical Engineer
to join our team in
Austin, Texas
. The ideal candidate will support geotechnical investigations, analysis, and reporting for a range of infrastructure and development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field investigations and engineering analyses
• Develop boring layouts and coordinate utility clearance
• Supervise drill rigs and field staff
• Classify soils; log borings, test pits, and cores
• Perform floor level surveys and geotechnical testing/observation services
• Review project plans and technical specifications
• Prepare geotechnical reports, letters, and technical documentation
• Coordinate laboratory testing programs
• Perform geotechnical engineering calculations, including:
  • Slope stability analysis
  • Liquefaction assessment
  • Dynamic settlement analysis
  • Pile foundation design

Education: B.S./B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering); M.S. preferred.

• EIT and ability to obtain PE License within 6 months required

Required Skills:

• Minimum2+ years
  geotechnical engineering experience (consulting preferred)
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization, problem-solving, and time-management abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
