Field-Programmable Gate Arrays Engineer

Overview

A leading global proprietary trading firm is hiring Hardware Engineers to join a high-performance trading organization in Austin, Texas.

This team builds hardware-accelerated trading systems, from ultra-low latency algorithms to high-bandwidth compute where reliability is non-negotiable and performance is measured in microseconds (and below). You’ll work directly with traders and software engineers to design bespoke hardware solutions that impact live systems in days and weeks, not months.

• Designing high-speed hardware to accelerate network infrastructure and trading system components.
• Researching and implementing next-gen low-latency platforms and techniques.
• Working cross-functionally with traders, software engineers, and infrastructure teams.
• Leveraging best-in-class hardware (or building in-house) to integrate FPGAs with cutting-edge server platforms.
• Owning projects end-to-end, from ideation through implementation and deployment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science (or related technical field).
• Experience designing, coding, testing, and verifying FPGAs and/or ASICs.
• Strong coding ability in VHDL / Verilog / System Verilog plus C/C++.
• Familiarity with RTL synthesis, timing/area constraints, and constraint writing.
• Experience with digital simulators + self-checking test benches.
