- Engineering Technician
-4 role at Flex involves performing hands‑on debugging, validation, and system‑level failure analysis of next‑generation server and rack systems within a high‑mix, high‑ambiguity manufacturing environment. - This position requires advanced technical skills and the ability to provide guidance and training to other technical personnel
- The technician will collaborate with engineering teams, contribute to documentation, and monitor equipment productivity while adhering to safety guidelines
- Troubleshoots and repairs complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level
- Installing and configuring infrastructure including servers, racks, switches and other hardware including liquid cooling, power
- Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel
- Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates
- Presents training, when necessary, to the new build and service assembler teams
- Contributes to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications and other device history documents
- Helps monitor productivity of our equipment by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates
- Assists with the installation, debug and validation of Test equipment
- Follows all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor
- Develops and maintains Debug Guide to troubleshoot PCBA
- Provides training and PCBA debugging guidance to other debug technicians
- SPECIALIZED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may be required for certain positions. These could include one or more of the following duties:
- Assist with the development and delivery of customer presentations and interface with customers.
- Partner with engineers on outside third‑party developments
- Organize documentation (specifications, schematics, and procedures).
- Perform tests per customer specifications and requirements.
- Education / Experience
Typically requires an Associates degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience. Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
