Configuration Management Engineer – Onsite (Austin, TX)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hour day shift

Location: Austin, TX (100% Onsite)

Pay Range: $28 – $38/hr

Experience: 2–3 years

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Configuration Management Engineer to support product data governance, engineering change processes, and enterprise systems used by the Silicon Products Group. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, experience in engineering change management, and a solid understanding of product structures and ERP systems. You will play a key role in ensuring product accuracy, configuration integrity, and smooth execution of product lifecycle updates.

• Manage business processes and applications used for product management, including:
  Product Specification Tool (PST), Variant Configurator (VC), Product Option Architecture (POA), Product Explorer, CABC/TND Libraries, NSO Recommendation Engine, and SAP product data masters
• Create, manage, and process engineering requests in CORE+, including:
  • Engineering Change Requests (ECR)
  • Engineering Specification Waivers (ESW)
  • Configuration Change Requests (CCR)
  • Non-Standard Requests (NSR)
• Perform ECR reviews and reconcile changes to ensure data alignment with product management tools
• Maintain and validate product structures
  , including ZMATs, parent/child relationships, build location strategies, and work center hierarchies
• Troubleshoot and test logic statements in product models to ensure accurate functionality
• Translate release cycle updates into clear, user-friendly release notes
• Manage and control ERP master data, including Material Masters and Change Masters
  , following established procedures
• Develop and maintain ISO procedures, SAP scripts, Work Level Instructions, and Best Known Methods (BKMs)

• 2–3 years of experience in Configuration Management, Product Data Management, or related engineering/technical fields
• Strong understanding of product structures, BOM logic, and configuration processes
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Hands‑on experience with engineering change processes
• Ability to analyze logic, test product models, and review data accuracy
• Strong written communication skills for creating documentation and release notes
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
