Job Description & How to Apply Below

This company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical systems that support high‑density, mission‑critical computing environments. You'll take ownership of HVAC system design including equipment selection, airside distribution, mechanical piping layouts, and integration of control systems, fuel storage, and plumbing.

You’ll play a key role in producing construction documents and specifications, conducting system evaluations, and supporting long‑term planning for new builds and major upgrades. This is a highly technical, hands‑on position ideal for someone who loves complex mechanical challenges and wants to contribute to the backbone of next‑generation computing infrastructure.

What You’ll Focus On
  • Collaborating with mechanical engineers, designers, and BIM specialists to develop coordinated engineering and construction documents.
  • Working closely with cross‑disciplinary teammates to ensure seamless integration across structural, electrical, and architectural systems.
  • Taking full ownership of smaller projects with minimal oversight.
  • Building skills in business development, project management, and proposal development.
  • Traveling to project sites across the U.S. for surveys, design validation, and construction review.
  • Conducting detailed assessments and documentation of existing HVAC systems.
  • Performing load calculations, energy modeling, and equipment selection using industry‑standard software.
  • Writing and refining project specifications, reports, technical studies, and design packages.
  • Researching code compliance requirements and applying them appropriately.
  • Providing construction administration support throughout project execution.
  • Leading QA/QC efforts and mentoring junior engineering staff.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • PE license preferred; EIT also considered.
  • 5 or more years of experience designing HVAC systems for data centers, telecom facilities, or other high‑tech/industrial environments.
  • LEED experience or certification is a plus.
  • Capable of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced, technically demanding environment.
  • Curious, proactive, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a strong eye for detail.
  • Clear, confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Leadership potential and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.
  • Willing and able to travel as needed.
  • A competitive total compensation package, including both cash and equity.
  • Retirement or pension program aligned with local standards.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • A generous PTO policy consistent with local norms.
