Mechanical Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed mechanical drawings for robot components and subassemblies
• Apply GD&T to ensure manufacturability, tolerance control, and repeatable builds
• Translate engineering concepts, prototypes, and redlines into production‑quality CAD
• Maintain drawing accuracy throughout iterative design cycles
• Support creation of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) for mechanical hardware

• Strong experience as a CAD Drafter / Mechanical Designer
• Proficiency in 3D CAD Arena PLM
• Solid understanding of GD&T and drawing standards
• Experience supporting hardware that moves from prototype → production

• Support hands‑on mechanical assembly of robot components and subsystems
• Work from drawings, BOMs, and work instructions to build hardware correctly
• Identify fit, tolerance, or assembly issues and feed learnings back to design teams
• Assist with prototype and pre‑production builds in a lab or factory environment
• Support build documentation updates as designs mature

• Experience assembling complex mechanical or electro‑mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and BOMs
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced prototype or pilot‑build environments
• Strong attention to detail and build quality
