NERC O&P Compliance Lead

The NERC O&P Compliance Lead will lead the administration and oversight of the RWECE NERC O&P compliance program including the development and maintenance of associated program requirements (e.g., policies, processes, procedures, and guidance).

• Lead the administration and oversight of the RWECE NERC O&P compliance program including the development and maintenance of associated program requirements (e.g., policies, processes, procedures, and guidance)
• Collect, review, organize, and preserve evidence in coordination with internal departments to support regulatory requests and audits
• Assist with compliance to applicable rules and other compliance requirements through research, data/evidence collection, analysis, and compliance submissions to the appropriate reliability entities
• Provide support to internal departments responsible for adherence to compliance requirements including providing training and disseminating compliance guidance and industry best practices
• Lead investigative analysis for potential non‑compliance and the development and submission of self‑reports and mitigation plans to NERC
• Lead data gathering and development of responses for regulatory compliance requests, self‑certifications, enforcement actions, data requests, and audit requests, including the submission of responses
• Lead periodic internal compliance assessments and spot‑checks on applicable NERC O&P Standards
• Lead tracking of new and revised NERC O&P Standards and Compliance Impact Assessments
• Maintain knowledge of the NERC Reliability Standards and regional standards that apply to Generator Owners and Generator Operators, as well as applicable ISO requirements
• Maintain understanding of NERC compliance monitoring and enforcement processes
• Lead projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in NERC compliance
• Strong knowledge of regulatory process and requirements
• Experience with NERC 693 Reliability Standards and Requirements preferably within a GO or GOP
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, and process improvement skills are needed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated desire to learn about the company and the renewables space
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
• Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
• Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
• Ability to multi‑task while working independently and as part of a team
• Motivated self‑starter, goal‑oriented, and strong problem‑solving abilities
