Field Safety Specialist to support on-the-ground operational safety and ensure safe, reliable field operations across vehicle platforms and locations. In this role, you’ll develop, implement, and continuously improve customer-focused safety processes that reinforce the company’s position as an industry safety leader.
You’ll evaluate field operations, identify risks, and standardize safety procedures that can be replicated across sites. You’ll also work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate incidents, drive corrective actions, and ensure a disciplined, risk-based approach to operational safety.
The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly collaborative, and brings strong judgment, communication, and investigative skills to dynamic field environments.
RequirementsQualifications 2-4 years of applicable experience in Operational Safety, Field Safety Operations, Occupational Safety & Health, Law Enforcement, Fire Service, Emergency Management, or similar role in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity is seen as opportunities or a combination of equivalent education and experience;
Possesses excellent emotional intelligence with an empathetic communication style that fosters connection, collaboration and motivation;
Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, and Slack software applications; BS in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Emergency Management, or equivalent field. Bonus Qualifications Working experience in automotive industry or the autonomous driving technology industry Working experience as a first responder whose background includes responding to and/or investigating vehicle incidents Working experience in transportation safety operations, especially AV or aviation safety Working experience in high voltage DC systems, lithium-ion batteries, battery storage systems, NFPA 70E Familiarity with applicable industry safety standards such as AVSC Best Practice documents and ISO 39000 series
