Civil 3D Drafter​/Designer Utilities

Our client, a leading organization in utility engineering and design, is seeking a Autocad Drafter/Designer to join their team. As a Autocad Drafter/Designer, you will be part of the Engineering Support Department supporting the Natural Gas Utility Design team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Civil 3D Utility Drafter/Designer

Austin, Texas

• Create, update, and manage natural gas utility design drawings including plan and profiles for gas main and service installations
• Convert engineer redlines and markups into complete drawing deliverables
• Import, clean, and format civil CAD files to conform to internal standards
• Incorporate survey data, GIS information, and ROW constraints into design models
• Ensure drawings meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and public ROW design criteria

• Associate’s Degree, technical diploma, or certificate in CAD, Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design, or similar field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D with experience in alignments, surfaces, profiles, pipe networks, and sheet set management
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans, utility drawings, and survey data
• Working knowledge of natural gas, water, telecom, or other underground utility design
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate records
