Electrical Engineer - Medium​/High Voltage

** A Day in the Life of an Electrical Engineer – Medium/High Voltage at Hanson
** Here’s a snapshot of some of the tasks you may perform in this role:

Participate in project management tasks, including client meetings, system design coordination, equipment selection, technical specification development, shop drawing review, and construction administration. Perform other duties as assigned by market principals and project managers.

We feel the following qualifications would set you up for success in this role:

* Skills:

** Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, Micro Station, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and/or PLS-CADD.Experience using power analysis software such as Easy Power, ETAP, or SKM Power Tools.

Familiarity with voltage drop, fault current, and arc flash analysis tools (EDR, Easy Power, ETAP, SKM).Knowledge of CDGES software; experience with Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, clients, and stakeholders. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize, handle conflicting deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and MVR review as applicable.
** Education/

Experience:

** Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain licensure within six months. Minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting with a focus on medium- and high-voltage power system design.

Demonstrated experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specifications, submittal reviews, and providing construction administration for power projects. Salary Range: $95,000 - $160,000, based on experience

Preferred but not required: graduate degree, professional registrations, technical research, or publication experience.
