Primary Services is excited to announce the Asset Management Specialist role at a large, well-established organization in the renewable energy sector. This position plays a critical role in supporting utility-scale power plant operations by ensuring the integrity, structure, and performance of SCADA and asset performance management data systems. The selected candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and IT stakeholders to onboard, validate, and optimize plant technical data across multiple renewable facilities.
Responsibilities- Collect, review, and organize site technical documentation for onboarding into the asset performance management (APM) platform.
- Translate system layouts, metering configurations, telemetry signals, and naming conventions into structured platform documentation.
- Validate completeness and accuracy of technical data within the APM system.
- Develop comprehensive Site Configuration Packages including asset hierarchy, equipment inventory, asset tag lists, and alarm definitions.
- Review SCADA signal lists and telemetry mappings to identify missing, incorrect, or misconfigured data points.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on onboarded data streams to ensure integrity and compliance with performance reporting standards.
- Align SCADA data architecture with single-line diagrams and as-built plant layouts.
- Track onboarding milestones, risks, and delays, and provide status reporting to stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to plant monitoring, analytics, and reporting systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with SCADA systems, renewable energy plant operations, or similar industrial control environments.
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams and as-built documentation for utility-scale power plants.
- Experience configuring or validating telemetry signals, metering points, and alarm mappings.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience onboarding data into monitoring, analytics, KPI-based, or asset performance management platforms preferred.
- Background in utility-scale solar, battery energy storage systems, performance engineering, or technical asset management preferred.
- Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols and data acquisition systems.
