The RoleGeotechnical Engineer with responsibilities in structural forensic investigation, litigation support, risk loss consulting, structural repair, and retrofit design. The engineer will conduct structural investigations of existing buildings, design remedial repairs for deficient conditions, perform failure cause and origin analysis, life cycle cost and feasibility analyses, risk loss insurance, claims response, and litigation support. Coordination with project managers and support of marketing efforts is also required.
Responsibilities- On-site inspections and investigations including surveying and documenting observations, photographing, and sketching
- Researching the historic background of diverse structures, technical issues, and code issues
- Organize field data to facilitate analysis and problem-solving
- Complete geotechnical analysis and repair rehabilitation design
- Degree (Master’s preferred) in geotechnical engineering
- Field experience with diverse building types preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally
