What you will do- Lead and collaborate with a team to manage and execute bridge design tasks for diverse transportation projects, focusing predominantly on TxDOT projects.
- Oversee the preparation of comprehensive structural designs, specifications, and cost estimations for a variety of structures, including bridges, retaining walls, and other related infrastructure.
- Supervise load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts, and structure type analysis evaluations.
- Mentor engineering team to use current engineering design software to complete designs.
- Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines.
- Offer technical guidance to Professional Engineer/EIT and CAD Designer / Drafters on project.
- Develop design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Execute quality assurance checks on design calculations and drawings.
- Develop engineering budget and schedule to support project management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Texas PE license is required.
- Knowledge of industry standard computer software such as PGSuper, Win Core, LEAP Bridge Concrete, Micro Station, sp Column, LPile, MDX, CSiBridge, STAAD PRO, AASHTOWare, etc.
- A track record of successfully leading bridge design projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
