Mid-Level Project Scheduler

Our client located in Austin, Texas close to downtown is in need of a Mid‑Level Project Scheduler to work on a big multi‑year transportation project. This is an onsite direct hire opportunity.

Mid-Level Project Scheduler Role
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Support a major transit infrastructure program, including expansion of new rail lines connecting downtown Austin to the airport and additional east‑west corridors
  • Partner with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and deliverables across long‑term infrastructure projects
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance and evolving project conditions
  • Identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path impacts; provide mitigation strategies and recommendations
  • Perform schedule analysis including critical path, float, and resource loading
  • Support baseline schedule development and ongoing schedule validation
  • Generate reports and dashboards on milestones, progress, and performance metrics
  • Participate in project meetings and provide scheduling insights to support decision‑making
  • Ensure alignment with industry best practices and internal scheduling standards
  • Manage multiple priorities within a large‑scale, multi‑year program
Mid-Level Project Scheduler Background Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in project scheduling or project controls
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (required)
  • Solid understanding of CPM scheduling, resource loading, and schedule analysis techniques
  • Experience in large‑scale infrastructure, construction, transportation, or engineering projects preferred
  • Exposure to cost controls and earned value management (EVM) is a plus
  • Familiarity with tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non‑technical teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
