Reports to:

Our progressive Engineering Team in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 5‑10+ years of experience and a desire to exceed expectations. You will provide critical insight to project teams across construction types to help clients achieve their goals in education, healthcare, and commercial projects.
Responsibilities- Work in a team environment supporting Education, Healthcare and Commercial projects
- Work collaboratively with our firm’s integrated engineers and architects in Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas
- Provide full design of mechanical system plans and specifications
- Perform construction administration of mechanical systems
- Design HVAC controls
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering, or a related field preferred
- 5‑10+ years of professional MEP design experience in an engineering firm
- Experience with healthcare or education projects
- Revit experience – experience coordinating MEP models within a multidiscipline BIM environment preferred
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes, energy codes, and MEP-related standards including but not limited to IMC, NEC, and NFPA
- Familiarity with engineering calculations – load calculations, equipment sizing, duct and pipe sizing, etc
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and with clients
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Newforma a plus
- PE licensure or active pursuit of PE licensure is a plus, but not required
