Mechanical Sr Engineer II

How You'll Create Impact

• Develop and specify product functional requirements and testing strategies according to user needs, internal and external standards and regulatory requirements.
• Design, test and integrate components and sub-assemblies to produce the overall final product design.
• Identify root causes of issues, determine potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements.
• Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the development team, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists.
• Achieve relevant performance, time‑to‑market objectives, product and project cost targets, while achieving product quality goals.
• Develop hardware according to system and subsystem requirements, create CAD 3D models and detailed engineering drawings meeting company drafting standards.

• Experience developing power tools.
• Experience in engineering simulations such as FEA and CFD.
• Experience leading or participating in risk analysis evaluation and dFMEA.
• Familiarity with risk management tools and techniques.
• Proficiency in stackup tolerance analysis techniques for mechanical assemblies.
• Experience developing medical devices and familiar with V&V testing and 510K submission activities.
• Past experience with thermal treatment of stainless steel and welding experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling software.
• Experience in EMC and Safety Testing for IEC
  60601 certification.
• Experience with Solid Works.
• Direct experience working in the Medical Device industry.

Up to 15% travel.
