Engineering Support Assistant (Contract) – $20–$25/hr | Austin, TX

We are hiring an organized and detail‑oriented Engineering Support Assistant (ESA) to support product development and manufacturing operations in Austin, TX
. This contract role works closely with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and planning teams to support new product development and ongoing production activities.

• Support project timelines, milestones, and deliverables alongside the Project Manager
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects stay on schedule
• Identify procurement needs and help mitigate supply chain risks such as lead times and part shortages
• Create and maintain part numbers, symbols, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within PLM systems
• Track manufacturing jobs and maintain accurate project logistics documentation
• Follow up on assigned tasks and communicate updates effectively across departments
• Support product prototype builds and transition into volume production

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time‑management skills
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Self‑starter with the ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment

• Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing teams
• Familiarity with Agile, Oracle, or PLM systems preferred
