Position SummaryAs a Module Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for integration of specific steps within FEOL, MOL or BEOL modules for all technology nodes produced at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. You will own all module‑related aspects of these steps, focusing on deriving solutions for technology systematics, driving process enhancements to improve yield, quality, and cost competitiveness.
Role And Responsibilities- Owning module integration for a specific group of steps within the process flow.
- Managing systematic defect and device/parametric yield issues for these steps.
- Leading projects to cure systematics from the technology or improve detection.
- Managing critical dimension targeting and variation control within the module.
- Reviewing yield, cost, throughput‑related process changes across the factory at Change Control Board.
- Providing yield risk assessment and failure modeling for factory incidents at Material Review Board.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Process/Module Integration or Yield Engineering in semiconductor manufacturing; 10+ years and/or FinFET experience highly preferred.
- Advanced understanding of overall process flow in assigned areas, including interactions between process, yield, product performance, and reliability.
- Prior knowledge of fab unit processes (including lithography, etch, diffusion, thin‑film deposition, wet cleans, CMP, etc.) highly preferred.
- Expertise in project management, DOE generation, and analyses.
- Expertise in data analysis software (e.g., JMP/Spotfire).
All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor are 5 days on site. The base salary range for this role is $83,000 – $206,000, with total compensation reflecting education, experience, skills, and performance. Benefits include:
