Responsibilities
- Lead Water technical support efforts across existing and new North American accounts to enable flawless execution through pre‑planning, job execution, and post‑job analysis.
- Collaborate with Service Delivery, Sales and Technology teams to design technical job programs, including risk mitigation plans, to meet customer objectives and maximize revenue potential.
- Provide on‑demand support for cooling, boiler and wastewater applications in refineries, including technical recommendations for new chemical applications.
- Build trusting relationships and interface with key customers at both corporate and field facilities.
- Identify and collaborate with the field team to drive projects, technical and innovative solutions that bring value to customers.
- Participate and provide technical leadership in industry forums.
- Perform annual technical audits and health checks on all assigned accounts.
- Support Operations, Technology and Manufacturing on process technology portfolio, including rollout and application of new technologies in the field.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations for customers and field personnel.
- Conduct job analysis to understand application hazards and incident potential.
- Investigate field incidents related to products/services, ensuring end‑to‑end process.
- Take on special projects, including Product Line specific responsibilities, as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Chemical Engineering preferred).
- Minimum of 10+ years downstream refining experience or 5+ years industrial water process/plants experience.
- Solid understanding of cooling water, boiler and digital technologies, wastewater treatment plants, and industry standards; 5+ years field/operations/application support experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, conveying complex technical concepts accurately and concisely in both written and oral formats.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to develop and provide technical mentorship to others.
- Availability on call outside of normal business hours.
- Strong leadership, planning, coordination and project delivery skills.
