Responsibilities:
- Contribute to technical execution and documentation of ongoing sponsored research.
- Manage sponsored research projects and provide technical leadership to other research staff and students.
- Maintain and develop research funding, preparing and submitting proposals to expand the research funding base.
- Publications and presentations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10 years' experience as lead engineer for sponsored research programs.
- Experience with advanced rotating electrical machines and composites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 20 years' experience in pulsed power, rotating machines, power systems, composites, and large.
Salary Range: $70,000 prorated (Based on $140,000 FTE)
Working Conditions:
- Work may sometimes be performed in a standard office environment.
- Repetitive use of keyboard at workstation.
- Use of manual dexterity.
- Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).
- May work in all weather conditions including extreme temperatures.
- May work around biohazards, chemicals & chemical fumes.
- May work around electrical and mechanical hazards.
- May work around standard office conditions.
- Climbing of stairs & ladders.
