Responsibilities:

• Contribute to technical execution and documentation of ongoing sponsored research.
• Manage sponsored research projects and provide technical leadership to other research staff and students.
• Maintain and develop research funding, preparing and submitting proposals to expand the research funding base.
• Publications and presentations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years' experience as lead engineer for sponsored research programs.
• Experience with advanced rotating electrical machines and composites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 20 years' experience in pulsed power, rotating machines, power systems, composites, and large.

Salary Range: $70,000 prorated (Based on $140,000 FTE)

Working Conditions:

• Work may sometimes be performed in a standard office environment.
• Repetitive use of keyboard at workstation.
• Use of manual dexterity.
• Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).
• May work in all weather conditions including extreme temperatures.
• May work around biohazards, chemicals & chemical fumes.
• May work around electrical and mechanical hazards.
• May work around standard office conditions.
• Climbing of stairs & ladders.
