Electronics Technician, Hardware Engineer
Our client, a leading innovator in electromechanical systems and robotics, is seeking a Hardware Test Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Hardware Test Technician, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Support Department, collaborating closely with hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams. Job Title: Hardware Test Technician
Location: Austin, TX
Pay Range:
Monday - Friday 8 hours
Shift: $20.00-$30.00 hr.
What's the Job?- Execute hardware and system‑level test plans on robotics and embedded platforms.
- Configure and operate Linux‑based test environments, with a preference for Ubuntu.
- Run automated and manual test procedures, ensuring accurate collection and logging of test data.
- Build and maintain test fixtures, cables, and mechanical assemblies as needed for testing activities.
- Perform diagnostics using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers to troubleshoot hardware issues.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience as a test technician or in hardware validation roles.
- Proficiency in using Linux for hardware bring‑up and testing, preferably with Ubuntu.
- Strong understanding of basic electronics and electromechanical systems.
- Experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
