Job Title

Gas Pipeline Project Engineer – Austin, Texas

Responsibilities
  • Design and analysis for projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, signing and sealing plans.
  • Coordinate design and analysis tasks with project team members.
  • Adhere to company QA/QC processes, review work, conduct risk assessments and mitigation.
  • Communicate with supervisors, project managers, and internal staff; lead meetings and document follow‑up.
  • Participate in training, assist with onboarding of other staff.
  • Work with clients daily, problem‑solve issues, negotiate concerns, maintain project schedules, attend client meetings, and understand financial aspects for profitability.
  • Support Senior Project Managers with engineering tasks and project management for gas utility relocation projects, HDD design, system improvement, and regulatory station design; evaluate field problems; assist with feasibility studies and final as‑built records.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in civil or related engineering discipline.
    • Engineer in Training designation (required).
    • Four or more years of professional experience (PE may be required).
    • Knowledge of standard engineering and scientific techniques and procedures; familiarity with company QA/QC system.
    • Proficiency in industry‑standard computer software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, Micro Station, GIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic models.
    • Ability to use spreadsheets, word processing, and other common office applications.
    Employment Details
    • Full‑time, approximately 40 hours per week; overtime may be required.
    • Hybrid schedule possible after completion of training.
