Overview

Sr. Server/Rack Manufacturing Engineer, Hardware Engineering - Manufacturing. Amazon Web Services’ Hardware Engineering team is looking for experienced professionals to help build the world’s premier cloud computing platform. This role focuses on operating in a fast-paced, multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment, working with ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software development teams, and upstream component vendors to monitor and improve incoming hardware quality.

The engineer will own the manufacturing launch and resolution of process issues, drive production readiness, investigate hardware failures, and close gaps in supplier manufacturing processes.

• Lead and oversee quality control processes across Contract Manufacturers (CM), Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and vendors
• Provide hands-on technical support during new product introductions and launches
• Evaluate and optimize product designs for quality assurance and manufacturing efficiency of servers and rack systems
• Investigate and resolve customer escalations through comprehensive root cause analysis
• Support global operations with regular domestic and international travel (25–50% of time)

• 5+ years of high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience with server platforms or high-tech hardware
• 5+ years of product development experience

• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
• Experience with project management of technical projects

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
