Lead Scheduler needed in Austin, TX. 5–15 years of scheduling experience on large-to-mega construction projects, preferably with data center projects. Full‑time role based at Austin, TX;
New Albany, OH; or Indianapolis, IN.
- Support the project team and stakeholders in developing and managing schedules for successful project delivery.
- Work directly with schedulers from general contractors and design‑build teams to monitor schedule risk.
- Maintain overall milestone program and ensure milestone definitions are written and agreed upon by stakeholders.
- Coordinate scope with project team/trades on‑site.
- Create detailed schedules (pull‑plans) that support project milestones.
- Determine reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussions with task owners and/or teams.
- Evaluate critical and near‑critical path activity sequencing and facilitate review sessions with all stakeholders.
- Produce schedule reports and analyze indicators created in accordance with the project execution plan.
- Identify major milestones, critical approvals, and long‑lead procurement items.
- Assess actual progress based on site inspections and validate contractors’ approach to measuring and reporting against the schedule.
- Identify schedule changes, gaps, and trends and proactively work through issues with stakeholders.
- Monitor and report schedule deliverables.
- Conduct schedule review meetings with the customer and stakeholders.
- Communicate and present schedule status to multiple stakeholders and support negative float resolution.
- Suggest corrective actions and/or develop recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur.
- Understand integration points of multiple projects and ensure that the schedules support each other.
- Prepare and present a consolidated progress report of the project to senior management.
- Provide what‑if schedules for projects as needed.
- Provide lessons learned throughout the project.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- 5–15+ years of scheduling experience on large to mega‑sized construction projects.
- Background in data center/mission‑critical, pharmaceutical, heavy industrial, hi‑tech manufacturing, or electrical systems is preferred.
- In‑depth knowledge of Primavera and typical construction sequencing and logic for large construction project lifecycle.
- Experience with schedule management, development of project schedules, and integration of multiple schedules.
- Leadership experience or proven ability to manage a scheduling team.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and report preparation.
- AACE, PMI, RICS or CMAA certification is preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general information technology.
Expected compensation range is between $130,000 and $185,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
