Director Concept and Design Engineering

As a Director of Concept and Design Engineering in our Research & Development team, you will merge creativity with technical expertise to shape the future of technology, drive groundbreaking projects, and bring new ideas to life.

• Manage a small team of Design and Systems Engineers who specialize in architecting, prototyping and designing control systems for the digital power management ICs that power AI computing in the data center.
• Collaborate with system power architects, application engineers, and power IC designers to define solutions which leverage Infineon’s leadership position in power device technologies, power IC’s and power modules.
• Evaluate system specifications and requirements.
• Execute proof of concept through system modeling/simulations and FPGA-based hardware prototyping.
• Drive the development of digital power controllers by smart partitioning of functions among analog/mixed-signal, DSP and firmware.
• Draft top-level IC functional requirements and sub-block specifications.

• Advanced Degree (MSEE or PhD).
• 20+ years of experience in System/Concept Engineering; cores & subsystems, system modeling, digital design, chip architecture.
• Experience coordinating teams of highly skilled specialists.
• Demonstrated track record of leading commercially successful IC developments.
• Experience in IC requirements definition of system, components, blocks.
• Expertise in analytical and behavioral modeling tools: MATLAB/Simulink, C/System Verilog, Verilog/VHDL, Simetrix/Simplis, Python, or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of power management, SMPS topologies, precision analog circuits, feedback control loops, DSP, ADC, PWM, HW/FW partitioning, digital interfaces, mixed signal IC partitioning.
• Experience with FPGA-based hardware prototyping.

  Minimum of $180,200 per year and maximum of $247,800 per year.
• Andover, MA:
  Minimum of $170,100 per year and maximum of $233,900 per year.
• ElSegundo, CA:
  Minimum of $180,200 per year and maximum of $247,800 per year.

All employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
