Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer located in Austin, TX. Reporting to the Manager the Manufacturing Engineer role would be responsible for process‑engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to hold up a manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities- Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies and techniques.
- Take part in the NPI and design manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
- Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root causes of equipment failures and develop hands‑on maintenance skills.
- Work with other engineering stakeholders and customers on problem solving and continuous improvement to the design of equipment and products; may develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- May be involved in development and update of PFMEA for new products.
- May participate in control plan development.
- Write and update work instructions and other documents (e.g., specifications, procedures).
- Analyze and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Coordinate with customers to determine product specifications and design changes and respond to customer requests.
- Provide information for management decisions from a technical and cost perspective.
- Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Bachelor degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of related experience or equivalent experience and training.
- Good communication skills and excellent relational skills.
- Comfortable with presenting projects and data.
- Lean Six Sigma / DRM Green Belt – highly preferred.
- Knowledge of regulated industry documentation.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
