This role is for 2nd shift (4pm - 12am).

Etch Manufacturing is hiring a New Product Transition (NPT) Manufacturing Engineer to support the successful launch of next-generation products into high-volume manufacturing. This hands-on, detail-driven role is critical to ensuring that designs are ready for scalable manufacturing and that operational issues are proactively solved before a product ramp.

You'll work closely with the NPT Project/Program Manager and cross-functional teams to translate new product designs into efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing processes.

- What You'll Do

As an NPT Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the core of our new product introduction efforts-driving manufacturing readiness, process optimization, and early issue resolution during pilot and initial production builds.

Your key responsibilities include:

* Engineer the Process:
Develop, implement, and maintain methods and process flows to build complex assemblies efficiently and with high quality.

* Support Pilot and Volume Builds:
Partner with the NPT PM to execute pilot and volume builds, incorporating feedback from manufacturing, quality, and test teams to close gaps and improve readiness.

* Optimize for Production:
Apply DFx principles to reduce costs, simplify assembly, and improve quality and serviceability.

* Collaborate Across Teams:
Interface with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Test Engineering, and Quality to align on manufacturing requirements and execute on readiness plans.

* Drive Engineering Change:
Launch and implement engineering changes that support product maturation and improve manufacturability.

* Analyze and Improve:
Gather operational data, lead root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues.

* Design for Test:
Assist in defining test specifications and procedures.

* Document and Standardize:
Support development and maintenance of work instructions, build documentation, and process standards.

* Mitigate Risk:
Support risk analysis during design reviews to identify failure points before they impact production.

* Support the Line:
Engage directly with technicians and assemblers on the floor to resolve issues in real time during builds.

- What You Bring

We're looking for a curious and collaborative engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving real-world manufacturing challenges.

Required Qualifications:

* Practical experience with assembly, tooling, and/or test of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems.

* Familiarity with engineering change processes and product lifecycle management tools.

* Solid understanding of DFx (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test).

* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze test data and operational performance.

* Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally in a team environment.

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred

Skills:

* Experience supporting pilot or volume builds in a complex manufacturing environment.

* Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.

* Hands-on experience working on the manufacturing floor with technicians or assemblers.

* Exposure to semiconductor capital equipment or complex system integration is a plus.
