• Design, develop, and test our most demanding, cross-functional networking projects.
• Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions, and have a deep understanding of system inter-dependencies and limitations.
• Researching and benchmarking Amazon technology against competing systems, contributing intellectual property through patents, and mentoring others on advanced technical issues.
• Assist in career development, guiding team members' growth and help managers navigate their team's career trajectory.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
• Must have three years of experience in the following skills:
• working with interior and exterior IP routing protocols, technologies, and platforms in a large scale data center, LAN, or WAN network environment;
• developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP network or networking systems;
• responding to customer impacting events including mitigating and performing root cause analysis of those events; and
• automation via Perl or Python programming.

40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $159,890/year to $184,000/year.
