  • Prepare project‑specific drainage and hydraulic reports and technical memorandums
  • Take on progressively greater responsibility as a task lead, with the opportunity to grow into a team leadership role
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. ABET‑accredited institution or equivalent
  • Professional Engineer registration in Texas or the ability to obtain within six months if licensed in another state
  • Eight or more years of experience supporting mid to large‑scale transportation projects with drainage design and hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
  • Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate drainage design across all project phases with multidisciplinary teams
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Knowledge of TxDOT and municipal design criteria, standards, and specifications such as those used by the City of Austin, Travis County, and Bexar County
  • Experience using Micro Station and Open Roads Designer Drainage and Utilities
  • Experience with the analysis and design of stormwater facilities, including detention and water‑quality treatment
  • Experience performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for cross drainage structures
  • Familiarity with HEC RAS, HEC HMS, and HY 8
  • Experience with GIS software such as ESRI Arc Map, ArcGIS Pro, or QGIS
  • Experience with advanced modeling tools such as HEC RAS 2D, XPSWMM, or Info Works ICM
