** This role is for 2nd shift (4pm - 12am).
** Etch Manufacturing is hiring a New Product Transition (NPT) Manufacturing Engineer to support the successful launch of next-generation products into high-volume manufacturing. This hands-on, detail-driven role is critical to ensuring that designs are ready for scalable manufacturing and that operational issues are proactively solved before a product ramp.

You’ll work closely with the NPT Project/Program Manager and cross-functional teams to translate new product designs into efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing processes.

- ** What You’ll Do
** As an NPT Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the core of our new product introduction efforts—driving manufacturing readiness, process optimization, and early issue resolution during pilot and initial production builds.

Your key responsibilities include:
•    
** Engineer the Process**:
Develop, implement, and maintain methods and process flows to build complex assemblies efficiently and with high quality.
•    
** Support Pilot and Volume Builds**:
Partner with the NPT PM to execute pilot and volume builds, incorporating feedback from manufacturing, quality, and test teams to close gaps and improve readiness.
•    
** Optimize for Production**:
Apply DFx principles to reduce costs, simplify assembly, and improve quality and serviceability.
•    
** Collaborate Across Teams**:
Interface with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Test Engineering, and Quality to align on manufacturing requirements and execute on readiness plans.
•    
** Drive Engineering Change**:
Launch and implement engineering changes that support product maturation and improve manufacturability.
•    
** Analyze and Improve**:
Gather operational data, lead root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues.
•    
** Design for Test**:
Assist in defining test specifications and procedures.
•    
** Document and Standardize**:
Support development and maintenance of work instructions, build documentation, and process standards.
•    
** Mitigate Risk**:
Support risk analysis during design reviews to identify failure points before they impact production.
•    
** Support the Line**:
Engage directly with technicians and assemblers on the floor to resolve issues in real time during builds.
