- Manages the company-wide quality/reliability program and related business processes. Includes the definition, specification, and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for developing quality/reliability programs.
- Develops quality/reliability training and courses. Monitors current training to ensure compatibility with current programs.
- Evaluates and analyzes data to determine requirements for quality/reliability programs.
- Manages the application of quality/reliability activities in administrative areas with focus on consulting with operating units to ensure continuous improvement.
- Evaluates current operations for performance against quality standards.
- Provides inputs and recommendations for the adoption of good quality practices in engineering and manufacturing.
- Provides leadership and support to subordinates in meeting quality assurance system requirements.
- Selects, trains, evaluates and manages employees to ensure the efficient operations of the function.
- Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within own job family and knowledge of other related job families.
- Applies in-depth understanding of how own discipline integrates within the segment/function.
- Manages multiple related teams, sets organizational priorities and allocates resources.
- Identifies and resolves complex technical, operational and organizational problems.
- Impacts the business results of a team or area by supporting and funding of projects, products, services and/or technologies and developing policies and plans.
- Guided by business unit, department or sub‑functional business plans.
- Influences others internally and externally, including senior management.
