Cobb Fendley is seeking an experienced H&H Senior Project Engineer in our Frisco, Austin, San Antonio, McAllen, San Marcos or Fort Worth offices.
RequirementsRESPONIBILITIES1.
Design + Analysis //
- Complete entire design and analysis for complex projects or specific clients, ensure latest manual and criteria are being met, sign and seal plans.
- Work with internal project team and/or external project teams, subs, or clients to ensure tasks design and analysis tasks are coordinated.
2.
Compliance + Quality //
- Adhere to Company QA/QC processes and procedures.
- Oversee work by others to ensure QA/QC is met.
3.
Communication + Collaboration //
- Work with project manager to complete all levels of the assignment.
4.
Training, Learning + Advancement //
- Lead internal and external training as a subject matter expert in the discipline.
5.
Client + Internal Satisfaction //
- Problem solves complex issues.
- Work with clients daily and attend meetings.
- Assist with marketing and project interviews, review project scopes including budget and schedule.
- Understand financial management and adhere to project schedule.
6.
Technical //
a.
Work on projects that include the following scopes:
- Delineate drainage areas
- Determine peak flows
- Select modeling software
- Technical writing skills
- Learn GIS basics
- Understand lidar/terrain
- Identify flowpaths/outfalls
- Learn Arc Hydro
- Sheetflow analysis
- Define drainage boundaries
- Hydrology criteria
- Land use categories
- Time of conc calc
- Stormwater runoff calc
- Existing vs. proposed
- Hydraulic calcs
- Static vs. dynamic
- Manning equation
- Mitigation analysis

Utilize the following software applications to complete project work:
- EPA SWMM, XP SWMM, PC SWMM, Info Works
- HEC - HMS, HEC-RAS, Excel, Arc Map
- Arc Hydro, Stormcad, Geo Pak Drainage
- Microstation, Autocad, WSRD, Power Point
- Microsoft Project
