Purpose: The Mechatronics Test Engineer is needed for hands-on prototyping and testing of testbeds and subsystems for next-generation semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities- Design, fabrication, and assembly of mechatronic testbeds for novel semiconductor subsystems
- Verification and test of built subsystems and testbeds
- Data collection and analysis for quality control
- Requirements verification and testing
- Creating and maintaining up-to-date models of the equipment systems
- Spec and procurement of various equipment sub-systems
- Other duties as assigned
- Mechatronics Test Engineer I:
At least 4 years of related experience - Mechatronics Test Engineer II:
At least 6 years of related experience - Mechatronics Test Engineer III:
At least 8 years of related experience
For all levels:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or relevant disciplines
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, assembly, bring-up and testing
- Experience writing and maintaining test scripts/programs and data analysis
- Troubleshooting and electro-mechanical system debugging
- Basic experience with PLCs (Beckhoff, Allen Bradley or similar)
- Basic CAD experience (CREO, Solid Works or similar)
- Basic PCB design experience (Altium Designer or similar)
- Goal-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or relevant disciplines
- More than 4 years of related experience
- Experience in nanofabrication, precision machine design, mechatronics, systems and controls, instrumentation, or optical systems design
