Job Details

Purpose: The Mechatronics Test Engineer is needed for hands-on prototyping and testing of testbeds and subsystems for next-generation semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, fabrication, and assembly of mechatronic testbeds for novel semiconductor subsystems
  • Verification and test of built subsystems and testbeds
  • Data collection and analysis for quality control
  • Requirements verification and testing
  • Creating and maintaining up-to-date models of the equipment systems
  • Spec and procurement of various equipment sub-systems
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Mechatronics Test Engineer I:
    At least 4 years of related experience
  • Mechatronics Test Engineer II:
    At least 6 years of related experience
  • Mechatronics Test Engineer III:
    At least 8 years of related experience

For all levels:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or relevant disciplines
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, assembly, bring-up and testing
  • Experience writing and maintaining test scripts/programs and data analysis
  • Troubleshooting and electro-mechanical system debugging
  • Basic experience with PLCs (Beckhoff, Allen Bradley or similar)
  • Basic CAD experience (CREO, Solid Works or similar)
  • Basic PCB design experience (Altium Designer or similar)
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or relevant disciplines
  • More than 4 years of related experience
  • Experience in nanofabrication, precision machine design, mechatronics, systems and controls, instrumentation, or optical systems design
