Base is seeking a EH&S Engineer to support our field operations teams in Texas. As an EHS Engineer, you will perform hazard assessments, investigate incidents, address employees’ safety concerns, and work with site leaders to prevent or reduce injuries. You will also ensure environmental compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.

• Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and/or guidelines established by Texas Health and Safety Codes, OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH.
• Collaborate with department leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
• Execute industrial hygiene studies to analyze manufacturing byproducts against associated human health thresholds.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and implement machine guarding when needed.
• Complete and maintain documented safety observations from regular hazard identification audits.
• Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine root causes, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
• Develop safety solutions to resolve EHS hazards or concerns within cost and schedule constraints, following a safety order of precedence that includes elimination, substitution, engineering controls, work practice controls, training, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure that the safety of personnel, property, and the environment is within acceptable risk boundaries.
• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in occupational health and safety and/or environmental engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in the design, development and operational oversight of environmental, health and safety disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to research and apply the best industrial and working practices to provide effective services.
• Knowledge of process safety management methods, pressure systems, and chemical delivery systems.
• Strong knowledge and experience in interpreting, applying and documenting federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience with emergency response communication and incident management involving hazardous and non-hazardous material releases to air, soil, and water.

The Environmental Health & Safety team is responsible for building and maintaining a culture where safety is embedded into every aspect of our operations.
