The Role
This role sits at the intersection if design, construction, and reality. You'll own the 3D modeling and layout of equipment, utilities, and tool hook-ups across the facility, making sure what gets designed can actually be built, installed and operated without surprises.
You're not just building models, you're evolving designs into something that works in the real world. If you've ever caught a clash before it became a problem, this is your kind of role.
What You'll DoBuild and maintain 3D models for tool hook-up and plant systems using Solid Works, Plant 3D, Revit, or similar.
Use LiDAR/3D laser scanning to capture as-built conditions and generate accurate models from point cloud data.
Coordinate with tool vendors, EPC partners, construction, and operations teams to align layouts and integrations.
Run clash detection and optimize layouts for constructibility and install efficiency.
Review and validate models and drawings for real-world accuracy, not just theoretical correctness.
Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and risks early and fix them before they become field issues.
Support construction and commissioning teams by troubleshooting model-related challenges on the floor.
You think in 3D and care about how things actually get built.
Detail-oriented but fast; you don’t get stuck polishing models while the field moves on.
Proactive and you catch problems before they become expensive.
Comfortable working across vendors, engineers, and construction teams.
You take ownership and don’t wait to be told what’s broken.
Strong hands-on experience in 3D modeling within industrial or manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in Solid Works, Plant 3D, Revit, or similar tools.
Experience working with point cloud data and 3D laser scanning (LiDAR).
Background in equipment layout, tool hook-up, or plant integration preferred.
Experience working with EPC firms, tool vendors, or large-scale capital projects is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred not required.
