Our client, a leader in innovative aerospace and safety technology, is seeking a Drone Support Engineer II to join their dynamic team. As a Drone Support Engineer II, you will be part of the Research and Development department supporting cutting-edge safety-related technology projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a safety-oriented mindset, adaptability, and enthusiasm for technological innovation, aligning successfully with the organization’s mission to develop transformative experiences.

Job Title: Drone Support Engineer II

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $30.00 / hour on Experis W2

What's the Job?
  • Assist in the development and testing of advanced safety-related technologies for aerospace and drone applications.
  • Participate in mission planning and perform lightweight maintenance duties to ensure operational readiness.
  • Conduct logistics planning and support activities to facilitate project success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and improve safety protocols and procedures.
  • Support research initiatives by conducting limited operation readiness activities and data collection.
What's Needed?
  • Possession of a 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and aeronautical knowledge.
  • At least 2 years of remote-control pilot experience with excellent coordination skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including graveyard shifts, and travel up to 75% of the year.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driver eligibility criteria.
