Duration: 12 Months
This role will require some travel for the technician to go to a customer onsite calibration event. Travel will be 100% covered by Emerson. The expectation is that the technician working in this role has existing experience as a calibration technician with electrical equipment.
Position Overview – Staff Calibration Technician
- The Hardware Services group at NI has an opening for a Staff Calibration Technician. The Staff Calibration Technician has the overall responsibility of performing accurate and timely calibrations within the guidelines and policies of NI. This position offers the opportunity to work with our stakeholders to deliver world-class services while continuing your growth as a calibration professional.
- Perform calibrations on customer equipment in the laboratory as well as at their sit
- Support the maintenance of our ISO 17025 accreditatio
- Support the development and implementation of processes used in the Calibration Services Laborator
- Adhere to our Quality Management System and ISO 1702
- Adhere to all NI Corporate policies
- Provide interpretations of calibration result
- Participate during internal and external audit
- Assist in review and technical analysis on laboratory nonconformances
- Support the performance of routine maintenance, inter-laboratory comparison and intermediate
- check of Laboratory equipment
- In laboratory calibration experience
- Associate degree in a technical discipline plus 3 years of experience in electrical measurement OR formal calibration training plus 4 years of experience in electrical device measurement
