Job Overview

Civil/Structural Engineering Manager (MS/PhD) – Austin, TX. Full‑time, on‑site position in Exponent’s Civil & Structural Engineering Practice. In this role, you will lead analytical problem‑solving, conduct experimental field investigations, develop client relationships, and advance the firm’s engineering solutions.

• Inspection, analysis, and determination of root causes of structural/building envelope performance failures.
• Conduct projects and supervise analytical and computer problem‑solving activities.
• Lead field investigations and diagnostic surveys.
• Prepare and present technical reports and complex engineering assessments.
• Continue professional development to maintain professional expertise.
• Provide expert testimony when required.

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of technical engineering and post‑graduation project management experience.
• Experience drafting and reviewing analyses, reports, and presentations.
• Effective leadership skills and ability to interact positively with professional, technical, and administrative staff.
• Strong professional reputation with a record of publications.
• Strong client base in comparable market areas.
• Dedication to quality and accuracy.
