This full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineering Manager role is based in Austin, TX. The Mechanical Engineering Manager will oversee the design and development of server and PC chassis, ensuring alignment with product requirements, quality standards, and customer expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and mentoring mechanical engineering teams, coordinating cross-functional projects, and reviewing CAD models and technical drawings. The role involves managing project timelines and resources, collaborating with manufacturing and operations teams, and resolving engineering issues throughout the product lifecycle.
The Mechanical Engineering Manager will also contribute to process improvements, support technical decision-making, and help drive innovation in mechanical design.
- Strong Mechanical Engineering foundation with experience in product design, analysis, and validation.
- Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills to guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
- Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, and coordination of multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and reviewing detailed mechanical designs.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in server, data center hardware, or PC chassis design is highly beneficial.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality standards, and design-for-manufacturability principles.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a track record of driving continuous improvement.
