About The OpportunityA specialized industrial engineering organization is seeking a Controls Designer to support the development of mission‑critical control systems. This is a high‑impact role where your work directly ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance in demanding industrial environments.
What You’ll Do- Design instrumentation and control systems for those critical systems
- Develop I/O lists, control narratives, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
- Support PLC‑based control system architecture (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Work closely with mechanical and process engineers to ensure safe system operation
- Participate in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and system startup
- Help define safety systems including ESD, detection, and shutdown logic
- 3–5+ years in controls or instrumentation engineering
- Experience with P&IDs, process control loops, and industrial automation
- Exposure to PLC systems and control panel design
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls, or related field (preferred)
- Experience in oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation, or similar industries
- Exposure to hazardous environments or safety systems
