Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Summary
Shift: 1st Shift (8am-5pm Monday)
ReliabilityAssists in managing CMMS system to insure best maintenance and reliability asset practices.
Assists with equipment on boarding process and documentation process improvements.
Champions in CMMS training materials, trains and works with Training department to have users trained.
Handles equipment specification creation and revisions.
Enters preventative maintenance procedures, creates job plans and schedules preventive maintenance to keep equipment in optimal working order.
Assists in utilizing diagnostic tools such as CMMS reports, and other techniques, to identify potential equipment problems before they become major issues.
Assists with gathering data on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and failure modes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Assists in developing spare part inventories in CMMS.
Documentation and ReportingAssists with maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and reporting on equipment performance and maintenance status.
Assists with maintaining documentation tools needed for Reliability Team and other stakeholders.
Equipment InspectionsConducts regular inspection of production line configuration, equipment, parts, components and systems to reflect proper CMMS set up.
Identifies any signs of wear and tear of equipment identification and replaces it.
Troubleshooting and Problem SolvingAssists other CMMS users by troubleshooting system issues.
Often using analytical skills and equipment technical knowledge.
CollaborationWorks with operation teams, engineers, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to implement and improve equipment reliability and equipment onboarding programs.
Familiar with company procedures and industry standards.
Works with CMMS Global and Corporate teams to deploy updates in system.
Follows escalation procedures.
SafetyChampions and adheres to all safety regulations and procedures, and participating in safety training.
TrainingParticipates in all company training assigned and aligns with business needs with regards technical training.
Education / ExperienceTypically requires an Associate's Degree in related field, technical training or equivalent education and training. Successful completion of company provided training may be required. Typically requires 4- 6+ years of related experience.
LeadershipActs independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Often leads the activities or training of other nonexempt personnel.
